5 MONTHS OLD

Gavin is almost 6 months old, but I am just posting his five month update (late. . . as usual). He has started to play and interact with us a lot more and we are having a lot of fun with him. There were a lot of "firsts" this month. He started to sit in highchairs at restaurants, which is so nice because we don't have to trade off and eat anymore. We can both eat at the same time! He also started to eat food with meat in it... He loves the Mango Chicken. He is trying to drink from a sippy cup and has held his own bottle a couple of times. Last week, he got his first cold and it broke my heart every time I heard him cough or sneeze. This week, he started to sit up by himself!!

GAVIN'S 1ST SET OF WHEELS

Gavin got his first car from his cousin Taylor for Christmas this year. We waited to put him in it because we didn't think he would be able to sit up in it yet, but he did fine. We strapped him in and he rode around for a long time. He loved it!!

THE HOLIDAYS

I am really late on posting pictures from Christmas and News Years, but I haven't really had much time to blog lately. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I wanted to on Christmas, but I have some from New Years in Big Bear. We went up to Big Bear for New Years with our family and had a great time. It wasn't snowing when we were there, but there was a ton left from the last storm and they were expecting more after we left. We definitely want to go back sometime soon!

All the girls taking a turn going down the hill!

Nate and Jimmy worked on this sled trail in my Aunt and Uncles front yard until 1 in the morning on New Years Eve. They had a great time with the snow blower. We got up the next morning and actually used it for a long time. It was a lot of fun! I fell way too many times.

Gavin tried to eat the wrapping paper instead of tear it because everything goes straight in his mouth

My grandpa dressed up as Santa on Christmas Eve for the babies. It was really cute!

I'VE BEEN TAGGED

Alison tagged me for this post. I am supposed to find the fourth picture in the fourth folder saved on my computer. I didn't think I had folders since I just upload all of our pictures into the iphoto library, but I did have some specific folders that I had forgotten about. Anyway, this was the picture I ended up with. It was taken on our wedding day, before I changed into my dress. I haven't looked at these pictures in so long, so it was nice to go through them again.

This is the actual picture that was fourth in the folder, but I posted some others too!

FAMILY PICTURES

A few weekends ago, we went to the beach and took pictures with my whole family. I can't even remember the last family picture we took, so this was long overdue. They came out really nice. Thanks again Anna!

MISSION INN

We finally went to the Mission Inn last night to see the lights and Santa. I feel like we have been trying to make it over there for days and it either rains or something else comes up. So we went and the line just to get into the lobby was ridiculous, but I guess that's what we get for waiting until the weekend before Christmas. We walked around the outside and saw Santa and some of the lights and then we got going home because it was really cold and kind of late. The line for Santa was super short so that was nice!!

4 MONTHS

I know I am really late on this post because Gavin was four months about 3 weeks ago, but I am posting it anyway. It is amazing how many new things he has started to do in the past couple of weeks. He has started to bite and suck on his hands and anything he can pull into his mouth, he reaches for toys and things we put in front of him, he found his feet and holds onto them a lot, he has giggled a few times and it is the cutest thing I have ever heard, he started to notice Zoee a lot more, and probably more that I am forgetting to write. It is so fun to watch him grow and do new things!!

THANKSGIVING

We spent Thanksgiving with both of our families. We went to Nate's parents house and Gavin got to meet his great grandparents on the Lorge side for the first time!

Gavin with his Great grandparents, Bud and Lorraine

Gavin and Dylan with their great grandpa

When we went to my mom's to see my family, Gavin got to see his great cousin, Emma. Look how they have all changed since the last time we took this picture. I think Gavin was only 2 1/2 weeks the first time!
