FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

We went to the Mission Inn to see the Festival of Lights tonight and it was just as chaotic and crazy as I remembered.  The parking was impossible and there were so many people, but we figured we only do it once a year, so why not??  Gavin was way more into the lights and Christmas trees and Santa this time, so it was more exciting than the past.  We weren't there for very long, but we did a lot of stuff...

Santa's Little Helper (He was really excited for this Santa shirt)

Started by watching the lighting ceremony and fireworks show

Met Santa's reindeer

Stopped to take some cousin pictures (I love this one)

They were holding hands and trying to walk through the crowd like they knew where they were going

Waited in line FOREVER to get some Casey's Cupcakes

choices...choices...

They were looking through the window on the outside, watching all of the people get their cupcakes

and stopped to say "Hello" to the Riverside fire fighters.  I couldn't believe he sat in the truck by himself.  He was so excited and didn't want to leave it.  So Cute!

We had a lot of fun tonight.  I am looking forward to going back during the week sometime soon so we can enjoy all of the festivities without such a big crowd!  I love the holiday season.

2 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS

He was beyond excited to eat this candy cane, but he couldn't figure it out.  It was really awkward for him and it turned into a big mess!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Gavin made this with Megan last week.  I love it and think it is so adorable!

I have A LOT to be thankful for in my life.  Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and a lot of good food:)

THOMAS AND FRIENDS

On Thursday, we took Gavin to see Thomas the Train.  He loves playing with Thomas and all of his friends and driving them around and making sounds effects.  He was so excited when we got there and could not wait to actually get his turn on the train.  I think we will definitely have to go back and visit him again next year.

They are waiting for the train to pass by

Holding their boarding passes

So excited to finally be riding on Thomas!!

His new souvenir cup that leaks everywhere...

There was an area to go and watch small trains go along the toy tracks

When we were leaving, Gavin was waving to the other people on the train and  saying, "Bye guys!"

It was such a nice day and so fun to see Gavin get so excited about Thomas!

HALLOWEEN

Halloween was very relaxing and simple this year.  Gavin absolutely refused to wear any type of costume so that made it pretty simple for us.  He ended up wearing a pumpkin sweatshirt when he went trick or treating.  He still looked adorable!

The night before Halloween, Jimmy, Amy and Taylor came over and we had a pumpkin carving party.  We went out and bought pumpkins and candy and thought the kids were going to have so much fun and be really excited about carving.  It didn't work out that way.  The guys ended up doing the pumpkins and the kids ate the candy.  Hopefully next year, they will be more into the actual carving.

They loved the pumpkins once they were finished

On Halloween night, we went over to their house and the kids went trick or treating.  It was all about the doorbell.  They were practically running up each walkway to ring the doorbell first.  We went to a scary looking house down the street and Gavin was spooked after that and didn't want to trick or treat anymore.  They had a great time!

Their grandma and Papa came over and went trick or treating with us

They had cute Halloween jammies.  I think Taylor was trying to scare him and give him a kiss.

Hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween!!
