GAVIN IS WALKING!!

Gavin has been taking 4-5 steps for the past week and yesterday, he stood up and started walking! He wouldn't do it if I stood him up, he wanted to do it all by himself. I just can't believe he is already walking. This video is really dark and horrible, but you can see him walking.

GAVIN UPDATE
I have been off work since the end of June and it has been so nice to spend every day with Gavin. He has been doing a lot of new things and I have been able to see them all. He has started to get a little more feisty and lets us know what he really wants. Him and Taylor have started to really fight and scream at each other. It is actually pretty funny to watch! He eats a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grilled cheese, quesadillas, yogurt, and he loves chips. He babbles a lot and still pretends to talk on the phone with everything. He feeds Zoee from the highchair and thinks it is really funny because she sits pretty for him. He empties all the cupboards and drawers that we don't want him to get into. He loves to scrunch his face and blow in and out of his nose. He fake laughs when he wants attention in the car. I will have to add more as I remember it.

2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Today is our wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been 2 years already. I was going to post pictures of things we have done in the past 2 years, but I have too many to pick from, so I am sticking to the wedding. I am so thankful to have such a great husband!!

PIRATE GAVIN

A couple of months ago, I borrowed this wooden pirate ship from my assistant principal at school and used it for pictures -Thanks Trevor!! We took Gavin under the pier at the beach and took some pictures to use at the party and for the invitation. They came out so cute. I never posted them because I didn't know which ones I was going to use. I want to share them now that it is all over! Here's a couple of my favorites.

EATING CAKE

My sister and I got so many cute pictures of Gavin eating cake at his party and that it makes it hard to choose which ones to post. To make it easy and really cute, Amy put the cute ones she got into this collage. Thanks Aunt Amy!!

GAVIN'S PIRATE PALOOZA

We had Gavin's first birthday party last Saturday even though his real birthday isn't until next Tuesday. We decided to celebrate a couple of weeks early because Andy and Summer were visiting from Nebraska and we wanted them to be there. Anyway, it turned out really nice and we had a great time, it was just SO HOT. We rented a big tent and hung misters all the way down one side and I think that really saved us. I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked of the decorations and all of the people, but everything looked really cute. The balloons went flat right away and the party store told me that it was from the humidity. I can't believe it is all over.
**THANK YOU EVERYBODY FOR COMING AND CELEBRATING WITH US!

Friends from Work

Grandma and Papa: Thank you so much for all of the help with getting ready for the party! We really appreciate it. We love you.

1ST HAIRCUT

Gavin's hair has grown so much in the past couple of months. It amazes me how long it has gotten because it was he was so bald when he was born. When he would lay down, he would always get up and have crazy frizzy stuff in the back. On Saturday, Summer came over and gave him his first haircut. She trimmed along the back, around his ears, and the top f his mohawk. We put him in the walker so he couldn't crawl away and then we had Taylor distract him. He was very squirmy because he couldn't figure out what she was doing and he wanted to keep turning his head to try and see. He looks adorable!!

LAS VEGAS

We went to Vegas on Tuesday night with Andy and Summer and it was the first time we have every left Gavin overnight, so it was a quick trip. He stayed with my mom and he did fine, but we just missed him a lot. We left around noon on Tuesday and we were back by 1:30 on Wednesday. Even though none of us were lucky in the casinos, the trip was still worth it. Thanks for coming along Andy and Summer, we had a lot fun with you guys!

BBQ @ AUNT KATHY'S

Last weekend we went to my Aunt Kathy's house and had a BBQ for the homecoming of my cousin Ashley and her husband, Jacob. They have been living in Florida for the past couple of years and now they are about to move to Hawaii. They were able to come home for the next couple of weeks to visit before they move. It has been a while since they were home last so it was nice to visit with them (and the rest of the family!) I didn't get any pictures of Ashley and Jacob, but I did get cute ones of the babies.

MY BIRTHDAY

Last Saturday, Robert and my mom took all of us out the the Miguels Restaurant for my birthday. I LOVE MIGUELS!! Thanks Mom and Rob

On Monday, we took Gavin to Disneyland for the first time. We figured we would go on my actual birthday since you get in for free and Nate had ticket to go (Thank you Danielle). We didn't end up getting there until around 3 and it was sooo hot. We got inside the park and we were dying of heat right away. Gavin was a wreck and we thought we were going to have to leave. We wandered around and found a shady spot and he fell asleep in his stroller. He ended up sleeping for 2 hours and waking up when it way cooler! That saved the day. We walked around and looked at everything since we hadn't been there in so long and waited for him to wake up. When he got up, we rode some rides and watched the firework show. He seemed to like the Small World ride the best. We really did have a good time!

BIRTHDAY LUNCH

The Friday before my birthday, Kristin, Max and I went to lunch at the beach with Gavin and Dylan. We had really good food at Las Brisas and the weather was perfect. We didn't get a picture of all of us, but we tried to get some of the two boys. It is very difficult to get them to look at the same time for the picture.

I think they were racing...
