OAK GLEN

Saturday was a very busy day for us, but we had a lot of fun.  We got up early in the morning and went to Oak Glen with Nate's parents and Dylan, our nephew.  The weather was really nice and the boys had a great time.  We went home in the late afternoon and Gavin took a nap and then we headed out to the LA County Fair to meet Amy, Jimmy, Taylor!
There are a lot of pictures for this post

We went to the petting zoo where the goats were so aggressive and Gavin was getting pretty upset with them.  He only wanted to feed certain ones and that wasn't working out so well.  Then he got mad because they were jumping on "his daddy!"

We stopped at this pond that had water shooting up and they didn't want to stop throwing rocks and acorns.  They thought it was great!

Off to the LA County Fair with the Davis Family. . .

These two really crack each other up.  It is so cute to watch them together!

Taylor was waiting to go on the pony ride and Amy asked if Gavin would want to go on too.  I said there is no way he will go on the pony because he usually doesn't like to do things like that.  Normally he likes to stand back and watch.  Once Taylor was getting on the pony, he said he wanted to go too!  He let the worker take him and strap him on the pony and he didn't even cry for us to stand next to him.

What do you think??  Does it look like he's having a good time??  We could hear him giggling out loud, then entire time.  There is nothing better than hearing your baby giggle and watching them truly have a good time.  It's the simple things in life . . .

We had a fun and exhausting day!

5 YEARS AGO . . .

Five years ago today, we moved into our house.  I cannot believe it has been that long!  I remember how excited and anxious we felt just like it was yesterday:)  We bought it and had to wait for it to be built and we came to see the progress almost every day.  It was fun to watch it from the ground up.  I cannot picture us living anywhere else now that we have made so many memories here.

This was the picture we used for our housewarming invite

WE LOVE OUR HOUSE!!

LABOR DAY

For the Labor Day holiday, we went over and had a BBQ at my mom and Robert's.  It is always nice to go over there because the babies have so much fun in the pool and then we all go in the jacuzzi and hang out at night.  Gavin insisted that he wear his hat and he kept putting it on sideways and being silly!

Bear stayed on the pool deck and watched Gavin swim

Hope everyone had a fun 3 day weekend!

DYLAN IS 2

Last weekend, we went over and celebrated Dylan's 2nd birthday.  We visited, ate good food, and the boys rode their bikes A LOT!  I got a lot of cute pictures of them

They stopped to give each other "high five" and then blow it up

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DYLAN...WE HOPE YOU HAD A GOOD ONE!

IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!

It's been waaaaay to long since I have blogged and I hate that.  I hate feeling overwhelmed because I have so much to blog about, but there is just not enough time. I went back to work last month and it is a lot of work to start a new school year and I am just now feeling like things are starting to settle.  When I get home, I want to spend all the time I can with Gavin and cook and clean and grade papers, and everything else that needs to be done.  Anyway, we are still here and I will blog more this week, but here are some of my new favorite pictures of Gavin.  He is getting so big and tries to talk SO MUCH.  He still loves to play with Thomas the Train and his trucks, he is eating a lot of new foods and is just as sweet as ever!  I will give a Gavin update later. . .

Love Him!!

LOTS OF COLORING

Gavin has been coloring a lot and he is serious about it.  He always wants his markers and a coloring book.  I got him a box of crayola markers, but changed my mind because I get so worried he is going to color on something he shouldn't.  I guess we will stick to Color Wonders for a while.  He calls anything he can write with "markos" and usually gets more on his hands than he does on the paper!
