SNOW IN OAK GLEN

We have been wanting to take Gavin to see the snow, so we decided this would be the weekend to do it.  We packed up, got ready, and got on the road on Saturday afternoon and by the time we got on the freeway, it was raining again.  We changed our plans because we didn't want to get all the way up there and have to leave.  Yesterday, we got up and the weather was beautiful and clear so we headed up to Oak Glen.  As we drove toward the hill, this was the view!

As we drove through the mountain, everything looked like this!  Can you believe this???  It was most snow I have seen in a really long time.  BEAUTIFUL

We weren't sure how Gavin would handle the snow because I think he was too young to remember the last time he was in the snow.  He kept saying, "Look at the snow!"  I think he was amazed at what he was seeing.  Once we parked and got out of the car, he was in heaven!  It seemed like he giggled and had a fun the entire time we were there.  He kept telling us how much he likes the snow.

His daddy taught him how to make snowballs and throw them.

He walked through the fresh snow and made his own new path

This was the best part of the day.  He was picking up snowballs and throwing them at this wooden fence and he thought it was the funniest thing ever.  We watched him do this for so long and he couldn't stop laughing.

I can't wait to take him back again just to see him have so much fun.  I love to hear his giggle!

WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?

Gavin and I spent the first half of Valentine's Day with Taylor this year.  Amy and I had different days off, so she was hung out with us on Monday.  We went over to Dos Lagos and walked around for a while and enjoyed the nice clear weather.  They loved looking at the ducks and running free.  After that, we shopped at target and then ate lunch at On the Border!

 My Little Valentine!

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day!

TO INFINITY AND BEYOND

For the past couple of months, Gavin truly believes he is Buzz Lightyear, from Toy Story! You know Gavin thinks he is Buzz Lightyear when he flies around the house with his arms out to the sides screaming, "I'm Buzz Lightyear. To infinity and beyond!!!"

You know Gavin thinks he is Buzz Lightyear when he sticks he arms out to "Buzz" people and things

You know Gavin thinks he is Buzz Lightyear when he puts on the outfit and pretends to push the buttons and makes noises

Sometimes he pretends to be Woody and even Jessie, but Buzz is his favorite!

NICE WEATHER

We have been lucky enough to have a couple of weekends with really nice weather.  It has been nice for Gavin to be able to get out to play and ride his bike outside.  He got dressed to play outside and when he saw the sprinklers on, he had to run and put on the rainboots.

He is still trying to get the hang of pedaling his "big boy" bike.  He is a little freaked out because his feet don't touch the ground.  He is almost there!

The bike ride didn't last long because when he passes the sprinklers, he cannot resist

Don't remember exactly what he was telling us, but it looks pretty important,  He holds his hand up like this a lot when he is talking to us

So sad that nice weather is gone now, but I love the rain too!  Hope everyone stays warm and dry this weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY

Last Saturday was Amy's 30th Surprise Party!  She was so surprised, she started crying.  I think I felt  stressed because I talk to her so much and was hiding something so big and I wanted to tell her all about it (especially when she was feeling bummed that her 30th birthday had passed and it didn't seem like that big of a deal...little did she know)! Anyway, it was such a fun party and everyone had a great time with the casino tables and the DJ.  Good job Jimmy.  I wish I took more pictures that night, but I didn't.  I have great memories in my mind:-)

I made these signs for the craps, roulette, and black jack tables and hung them from the ceiling above each table

Me and the Birthday Girl.  I am so glad I got to be part of the big surprise.  She was so happy!

The only decent picture I got of Amy and Jimmy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY...YOU ARE OFFICIALLY GETTING OLD!
