GRANT-2 MONTHS

I can't believe this big boy is 2 months old already.  He thinks he is pretty big and strong!!  He has completely grown out of his newborn clothes.  I was so sad when I packed them all up from his closet.  That went way too fast:-(

He is getting into a pretty good routine at night.  We give him a bath and put him down around ten and he sleeps until around 5-7:30 in the morning.  He still loves his swing and takes great naps in it!

He is really alert and follows us with his eyes

His legs are really strong and he wants to try and stand all the time

He loves to eat.  He is up to 4-6 ounces at a time

He started to smile and make noises when we talk to him.  Gavin gets pretty excited when Grant smiles at him.  He tells him, "Smile for your brother!"

Loves bath time

We started to put him under the entertainer and he likes to watch the lights

Usually screams when we put him in his car seat, but calms down when the car moves.  Gavin tells him, "Calm down Grant, we're movin."

He got his first cold this month and it broke my heart.  We were at the doctor every single week.  He had bronchitis and a sinus infection.  He had a bad cough and was breathing so loud.  Thank God he feels much better and he is over that!

GRANT'S ANNOUNCEMENT

NEWBORN PICTURES

Grant-10 Days Old

Gavin gave Grant this giraffe when he was born

I feel like these pictures were taken so long ago and Grant already looks so different.  I love all of them...especially the ones of the two boys together.

Amy was at the hospital throughout our whole session in labor with Bryn.  She was texting and updating me about what was going on.  I left the photo session, ate lunch, and headed to the hospital and barely made it for her arrival!!

EASTER

Gavin was pretty excited for the Easter Bunny to come this year.  We watched HOP too many times to count in the last couple weeks.  He left out some carrots and eggs for him to eat when he got here!  The only thing he wanted from the bunny was the movie Puss in Boots and he got it.  Now he has been watching that movie over and over.

Amy gave Gavin this white bunny that sings and hops and he still loves it!  He knows the song now to sing along

Our first Easter as a family of 4

All of my favorite boys

Gavin got to spend time with all of his cousins on Easter and had a great time playing and hunting for eggs

Grant and Bryn got to hang out too in their bunny ears.  Aren't they the cutest bunnies ever??

The Lorge Boys

We went over to see Nate's family in the morning for a nice breakfast.  The boys hunted for eggs and we all sat outside and visited.  After that, we headed to Irvine to see my family at the park.  The kids all had a great time and the weather was just perfect!

We hope everyone had a very Happy Easter with friends and family.

DYING EASTER EGGS

Gavin was so excited to color Easter eggs this year that he ended up doing it 3 different times!!  He didn't want to do the typical Easter colors because he thought they were girl colors.  He wanted to dye all of them black because that is his favorite color...boring right??  Luckily, we found a motorcycle kit that came with grey and other boy colors, along with motorcycle stickers and wraps for the eggs.

He was very serious about being gentle with the eggs so they wouldn't crack

Using these was his favorite part of the whole process

The finished product...before the motorcycle stickers.  All boy colors!

He put the finished eggs in a tupperware container and stuck it in the refrigerator.  He kept taking them out to look at them everyday and didn't want any of us to eat any of them.  The day of his school Easter party, we were supposed to bring some plastic eggs for the hunt.  He got them out and wanted to take them to school to show his friends and hide.  He was a little confused!

SNOW IN OAK GLEN

A couple weeks back, we had some pretty cold weather here so we got up on a Sunday and decided to go and check out Oak Glen.  Last year we got lucky and there was a lot of snow up there.  This year, we were even more lucky because it snowed while we were there!!

These snow covered trees lined the streets when we were driving in

Grant was so warm and cozy in the wrap

Gavin and Nate had plenty of time to play and throw snow balls at each other before the snow started to fall

Once we got cold and they got tired, we went into the little restaurant for some warm apple crisp (so good) and thats when the snow came in.  The place filled with people so quickly when it started to snow.  We were watching from inside and I couldn't believe the size of the snowflakes!!

Gavin just wanted to catch the snow in his hands and mouth.  He was completely amazed that it was snowing right in front of his eyes.

This was the most I have ever seen it snow before.  It was beautiful and so much more exciting to see how excited Gavin was!  Grant was inside my jacket and had no idea he was standing in the middle of a snow storm.  He was still so warm when we got to the car and I unwrapped him.  It was such a fun day!
