MY FAVORITE GIFT

These are Gavin's first "real" shoes.  Nate sent them in to get bronzed for me for one of my Christmas gifts and I LOVE THEM!  Nate's parents did it with his first shoes when he was very young and he still has them too.  I have them sitting on my counter and they bring back so many good memories of when he was this age and all of the cute stuff he was starting to do:-)

GOOFY HAT

The first time we took Gavin to Disneyland, we bought him this Goofy pirate hat and thought he would love it.  He was having a pirate party that year and I thought it would be cute, but he would not wear it.  A couple of weeks ago, I got it out and took it with us to Disneyland and he wore it all day.

BABY GREYSON

Meet Baby Greyson!

Our friends, Gabe and Renee welcomed this sweet baby last Monday.  We got the chance to meet him this week and he is so sweet and adorable.

COUNTING

Gavin counting to 10 . . . leaving out #3

I am so proud of my Baby Boy!

BOOTS AND HIS UMBRELLA

Gavin got new Thomas the Train rain boots and a Spongebob umbrella for Christmas.  He is completely obsessed with the boots and had to wear them EVERYWHERE for days, even if it wasn't raining.  I let him open the umbrella and wear the boots in the rain for a while and he thought it was so great!  Now whenever he sees a puddle, he wants to stomp and splash water all over the place.

He teaches us how to use an umbrella.  He says, "you push it up, and then you push it down" while he is  doing the motions with it.

BABY CHLOE

 Meet Baby Chloe . . .

This is our very close and dear friend Mary.  Last Monday, she had Baby Chloe, who is just absolutely perfect!  She is like a little doll, weighing 5 pounds, 7 ounces.

I am so excited for Mary and her family.  She seems so happy and proud to be a mommy!  Looking forward to lots of play dates in the future:)

SANTA AND MORE

Right before Christmas, we took Gavin to see Santa.  We had gone to lunch before and talked to him about it.  On the way over to Santa, after lunch, he kept saying, "I don't want to see Santa."  We took him in anyway and thought once he saw all of the other kids sitting on his lap for a picture, he would want to do it . . . boy were we ever WRONG!!!  He was that embarrassing kid that screamed hysterically.  We quickly took him off so people would stop looking at us like we were being cruel.  As we walked away, he waved happily and said "Bye Santa!" like nothing ever happened.

Me and my sweet boy:)

CHRISTMAS EVE AT MY MOM AND ROBERT'S

When we came home that night, we got cookies and milk all ready for Santa and put them by the fireplace.  We were trying to explain to Gavin that Santa was coming and he was not really liking that idea at all.  He kept saying he doesn't want Santa to come!  He did check to make sure the milk was OK before he went to bed.

He assumed it was left for him

Christmas morning was so exciting this year!  He loved ripping open all of the presents and playing with them.  We had to keep handing him more because he wanted to stop after each one and open it.  It is so exciting to watch him open gifts and get excited

After all the excitement, Gavin and Zoee both needed naps.  He fell asleep on the couch and Zoee snoozed on his new Toy Story pillow (He wouldn't be very happy with her if he was awake).

After naps, we went to Nate's parents and visited with his family.  Gavin liked opening gifts so much, he helped out his cousin Dylan and unwrapped all of his too!  We ended up back at my mom's and exchanged gifts over there.  Gavin got his first real bike and helmet and LOVED it!  He can't pedal on his own yet, but he sure does try to.

There is no way I can list everything Gavin got for Christmas this year.  He was beyond spoiled and we are so thankful for everyone's thoughtfulness.  Thank you to all of the grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.  He is still so excited for all of his new stuff!

CHRISTMAS CONTINUED . . .

Right before the holiday, we got together with Megan (Gavin and Taylor's babysitter), Liam (her son), Amy, and Taylor and decorated cookies.  I was very surprised to see Gavin take his time and decorate the cookies very seriously.  He was all about the M&Ms and sprinkles!

This is Megan and Liam.  She takes SUCH good care of Gavin and I could never thank her enough!

This is his masterpiece!
