ANGELS GAME

On Sunday, we went to the Angels Game with Amy, Jimmy, and Taylor.  Amy had gotten tickets from one of her students and they asked us to go with them.  Gavin and Taylor were a little antsy in the beginning, but they ended up having a good time!  Thanks so much for the tickets, we had a great time:)  Gavin and Taylor were the cutest Angels fans there!

Watching the game very seriously!

They were discussing something very funny!

GOING AWAY PARTY

On Saturday we went to Palm Springs for a going away party for my cousin AJ, his wife Allison, and their daughter Emma.  They are moving to Las Vegas and they will be missed.  We wish them lots of luck and hope to see them soon!

It was very hot there on Saturday so we took Gavin and headed to the pool.  This was the first time he has been to a pool this year, so he started off a little hesitant.  He hung out on the steps most of the time, but he was definitely loving it!  My Nana was trying to teach him how to blow bubbles in the water and he was just making the noise and faking it.  He had the most fun watching Emma jump in and swim around.  Whenever she made a splash, he would say, "Whoa Emma!"  It was pretty cute.  Nana and my Aunt Chris were doing ring around the rosie with him and Emma and he was loving that too!  It was a fun day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

MOTHER'S DAY 2010
Hope all the mommies had a great one!

BUBBLE TIME

Gavin loves bubbles so much right now!  Every night at bath time, he runs into the bathroom saying, "Bubbo, bubbo" and waits for us to pour in the bubbles.  He puts them on his head and dips his face in the water and gets them on his chin and forehead.

He has a great time in the bath.  We have to start to drain the water before he will get out.  He waves and says, "bye wah wah" and "bye bubbo!"

EARLY MOTHER'S DAY

On Tuesday, I came home from work and had a HUGE surprise.  Nate and Gavin bought me a new camera...the Nikon D5000!!  This was such a nice surprise because it is something I would have never bought myself.  I already had a nice camera that I loved, but an upgraded model can never hurt. I guess he figured since I love taking pictures so much, he couldn't go wrong.  I got the instructional video for this camera so I can learn how to use some of the cool functions!

I don't know everything about it yet, but I know that it records a little bit and it has a swivel screen so I can close it when I am not using it.

On Tuesday night, we planned on going to eat dinner at Ruby's on the pier.  We stopped at Samy's Camera on the way so I could ask questions about the D5000 and the guy was so helpful.  He convinced me that this camera is great and I should keep it and he sold me on a new lens.  I had already wanted to buy a new lens soon, I just didn't know which one. (I bought this for myself for Mother's Day)

I haven't really had much time this week to use this stuff, but I plan on using it this weekend.  I am really excited to see how it all works.  I have used the lens a little and I love it!

Thank You Nate and Gavin for my new camera...I love it already.  That was very thoughtful of you both.  I Love you guys

FUN IN THE SPRINKLERS

This is what Gavin likes to do anytime the sprinklers come on and we are outside, unless we tell him no!  He really loves the water and when the sprinklers turn off, he says, "Bye wah wah" and waves.

MAKING COOKIES

Gavin likes to help me whenever I am doing something on the counter.  He always wants to be picked up so he can see what we're doing.  Last weekend I made sugar cookies for my kids at school as a treat for working so hard on preparing for testing.  Anyway, I let Gavin stand on the chair and help...what a mess!  He was mixing the flour and dry ingredients and they were getting everywhere.  He thought it was great.  He was a little worried about the mess when he saw it all over the chair and his shirt.  He doesn't like messes.

Such a good helper!

SHOWERS

I have spent the past couple of weekends getting decorations ready for these two exciting showers that seemed to come and go so quickly.  The first one was for my dear friend Summer who is getting married in July and the other was for another great, long time friend Xavs who is having a baby in June!  Congrats to both of you.

Soon to be Mrs. Avalos

WALKER BABY SHOWER

There was a cute sign that said "Baby Addison" but I didn't get a picture of it

Guarding the door...does it get any cuter than these two!!

Both of these showers turned out so nice.  Can't wait for their big days!!
