ANGELS PARTY

Gavin had an Angels baseball themed birthday party this year.

The invitation

The door going into the backyard

The party favors

The top of the jar

Lots of snacks and treats

This what the red frosting did to the kids

Gavin wanted to eat chocolate chip cookies the whole time instead of real food

Gavin and his Uncle Jimmy.  Gav calls him Ba Ba and we don't know why!

Of course, we didn't get any good family pictures, but that's ok.  We had a good time and it was nice to see family and friends!

GAVIN IS 2

Yesterday was Gavin's birthday and we stayed pretty busy.  We got up and met Amy and Taylor at the bagel shop because that is our favorite place to go eat in the morning.  Gavin and I have gone to the bagel shop WAY too many times this summer.  Usually he loves to eat a cheese bagel with cream cheese, but yesterday he was too involved with his new trains, he barely ate anything.  After that, we took the kids to Toys R Us and they gave Gavin a party crown and balloon (of course he wouldn't wear it).  We went to the water park on the way home and it was closed until 4 for some reason, so home it was because it was nap time anyway.

He is saying "No Mama!"

And we ended the night at Tom's Farms where we ate dinner outside and Gavin played with his 2 cousins!  They had so much fun running around.  Happy Birthday Gavin!

Two years ago today, Gavin was born and I can't believe it.  Time has gone by so fast and it kind of makes me sad.  I miss holding him whenever I want for as long as I want.   The past two years has been, by far, the busiest years of our lives.  Having a baby is non stop action, but it is so fun and so worth it.  It is the best to watch our baby progress in front of our eyes and see him grow out of the baby stages and into a little boy.  It is indescribable how much happiness he has brought to our lives!!

Update:
-Gavin is very into Thomas the Trains (not the movies, just the actual trains)
-Still loves the movie Cars
-Loves his bear
-Likes to play with any car, truck, airplane, etc in sight
-Still loves to drink milk
-Likes the pool
-Wants to tell everything to go "ni night"
-Gives high fives and knuckles

He has become a little more opinionated the past couple of weeks and thinks he has to test our patience a lot more than we are used to.  He is still a very sweet natured boy and pretty easy going.  He is very serious and likes to observe every situation when we go somewhere new.

I can go on forever about all the cute things he is doing right now.  It is depressing that I have to go back to work next week because he is at such a fun age right now.  We have had such a great summer and I am terribly sad that it is over:(  There is nothing better than getting up and having nothing more to do than spend every day with my little man.  I love him so much!

LIL' SLUGGER

For Gavin's birthday this year, we did an Angels Baseball theme.  He got a mini jersey and we took him for some baseball pictures.  We took him to the sports center where Jimmy plays softball and it was the perfect place.  I narrowed the pictures WAY down, but I still have a lot to post.

Can you tell he was really attached to Mr. Bear this day??

This one is my favorite!

POOL TIME

Gavin really started to like the pool this year.  He likes to go in my mom and Robert's pool because they have a really big shallow step where he can hang out and play!

AIRPORT

Last week, Amy, Tawny, and I took the kids to the little airport to eat breakfast and look at planes.  Gavin is so into planes and helicopters right now so I knew he would love it!  There was a nice young guy working on some of the planes and he let the kids get inside of one of them and pretend to drive.

Amy says that all kids love Sammy...I guess so!

This is the only decent picture I got of him looking that day.  He really dodges the camera these days.  When I call his name to look at me, he says NO without even turning around

The boys took over

So cute!!
