Right before Christmas, we took Gavin to see Santa. We had gone to lunch before and talked to him about it. On the way over to Santa, after lunch, he kept saying, "I don't want to see Santa." We took him in anyway and thought once he saw all of the other kids sitting on his lap for a picture, he would want to do it . . . boy were we ever WRONG!!! He was that embarrassing kid that screamed hysterically. We quickly took him off so people would stop looking at us like we were being cruel. As we walked away, he waved happily and said "Bye Santa!" like nothing ever happened.
Me and my sweet boy:)
CHRISTMAS EVE AT MY MOM AND ROBERT'S
When we came home that night, we got cookies and milk all ready for Santa and put them by the fireplace. We were trying to explain to Gavin that Santa was coming and he was not really liking that idea at all. He kept saying he doesn't want Santa to come! He did check to make sure the milk was OK before he went to bed.
He assumed it was left for him
Christmas morning was so exciting this year! He loved ripping open all of the presents and playing with them. We had to keep handing him more because he wanted to stop after each one and open it. It is so exciting to watch him open gifts and get excited
After all the excitement, Gavin and Zoee both needed naps. He fell asleep on the couch and Zoee snoozed on his new Toy Story pillow (He wouldn't be very happy with her if he was awake).
After naps, we went to Nate's parents and visited with his family. Gavin liked opening gifts so much, he helped out his cousin Dylan and unwrapped all of his too! We ended up back at my mom's and exchanged gifts over there. Gavin got his first real bike and helmet and LOVED it! He can't pedal on his own yet, but he sure does try to.
There is no way I can list everything Gavin got for Christmas this year. He was beyond spoiled and we are so thankful for everyone's thoughtfulness. Thank you to all of the grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. He is still so excited for all of his new stuff!
