LAST FAMILY PICTURES

Last weekend, we went to Irvine Park and took some last family pictures before the baby arrives.  After that, we let Gavin go on the train ride and he rode a horse.  I was so surprised he went on the horse all by himself and he loved it!!  We also walked through the zoo they have there and he thought it was great to see a bear and the mountain lion.

A couple weeks back, we went and took these family pictures too!

BABY SPRINKLE

On Superbowl weekend, I had the cutest, most thoughtful Baby Sprinkle ever!!  Amy planned the whole thing and coordinated everything and it turned out perfect.  Thank You to my mom, Nate's mom, and Nate's sister for helping to make the shower so special for us.  I got so many nice things for Grant when he decides to arrive:-)

Amy and Me at 36 weeks...almost there!

I think this is my favorite picture from the day...Taylor was such a good helper!  Love her

HOLIDAYS CONTINUED. . .

I am finally getting around to wrapping up my Holiday posts...I know its late, but I don't want to leave this stuff out.

MEET SLINKY
Slinky (Sweenky) was Gavin's Elf on the Shelf this year.  He thought the elf was great and so did I because Gavin really believed he watched him and reported to Santa daily.  He didn't want to disappoint Slinky and possibly get a bad report.  I felt like he got up earlier than normal every morning just to find where he was for the day and then he would come wake us up to tell us too!  He was very serious about his magic and reminded people not to touch him.

The hard part of putting him on toys and things that Gavin liked is that he couldn't touch him and I felt like it was torturing him

This is how he found Slinky on the last day before he flew away to be with Santa...he was holding tickets to see Toy Story On Ice.

We took him to the show a few days after Christmas and he loved it.  It was a late show so he was pretty tired, but he was so excited to see all of his favorite characters skating around on the ice.  It followed the story line of the movie pretty closely so he was able to follow what was going on

DECORATING SUGAR COOKIES
Nate's mom had Gavin and Dylan over to decorate cookies before Christmas and they were so silly.  They were more interested in making a mess with the sprinkles than putting them on the cookies.  It was a pretty big mess, but they had fun!

MAKING CANDY CANES
We took Gavin to the shop to watch how they make candy canes and it was COMPLETE CHAOS.  It was so hard to see anything and there were so many people, but I was surprised to see the process.  They  showed everything from beginning to end.  It starts off looking like melted caramel and ends up looking like a candy cane and they were SO GOOD!!!

She stands at the end and serves them to you warm and fresh.  She will shape it however you want...I wanted hearts!

CHRISTMAS EVE
On Christmas Eve, we went over to my mom's with her side of the family.  Gavin and Taylor were so excited for all of the gifts and holiday festivities.

When we came home that night, Gavin wrote Santa a serious note to leave with his cookies and milk

We left the plate of goodies for Santa and Rudolph.  Gavin was a little unsure about how they would be fitting down the chimney to leave his presents

This is what he found on Christmas morning.  Gavin was a little upset because Santa left crumbs and a mess all over by the fireplace

He loved Christmas this year and cannot seem to get over it.  He is still watching Christmas movies and singing the songs and talking about what Santa can bring him when he is 4.  He was really sad when we packed up the train and all of the decorations.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas with their little ones:-)
